Another blog post – this time with the team over at Creation Station. This month, we are looking at the Power of the Punch! Make sure you check out all the projects – you’re going to be blown away by all the inspiration.
Stampin’ Up! Punches
Stampin’ Up! punches are some of the best in the world, especially when they coordinate with stamps too. I know many customers and demonstrators alike who are constantly wow’ed by them. I love them too, although I confess to not reaching for them often enough. And unlike some folks, I’m not amazing at the punch art thing. And I’ve totally taken a slightly liberty with the title – punch boards count too right?!
I couldn’t resist this new DSP from the Autumn/Winter catalogue – Joyous Noel – it is to die for! And since we are getting funky with punches, I thought what better to make with the Gift Bag Punch Board but a Gift Box!
Gift Bag Punch Board
I used a regular style punch in there too – the Everyday Label punch. For the extended punch decoration on this box, you can get this effect two ways – either punch two out and have the join hidden, like I have here. Or you can cut a piece of card to the width of the punch, then slide the ends into the punch and just cut those.
These Gift Boxes are really easy to create, and I’ll be sharing how to make them in a Facebook Live over on my Stamping With Val FB page later this week. Make sure you’ve liked and followed the page to get notified when it happens!
For the decoration on this box, I cut the label smaller. Once I stamped the greeting, I punched it out with the sentiment off to one side. I then slid the label back into the punch to trim a little off the other side to place the greeting centrally in the shape.
So, lots of fun ways with punches, and lots more to come. Please carry on to my friend Jennifer Downey who is going to WOW you some more.
Or if you get stuck, you can go back to Kerstin Kreuzer
Thanks for stopping by today. I’ll see you soon, and don’t forget about that Facebook Live.
