The phrase ‘It never rains, but it pours’ springs to mind for me this week. Not because it’s chucking it down – although that could well be believed of an English summer! No, that my life continues to run into challenges and chaos at every turn! My Mum was rushed into hospital on Tuesday for emergency surgery. Fortunately for me/you – I had already made my project for the Global Design Project challenge on Monday afternoon, so I’m sharing it with you today.
It’s a sketch challenge, which as you know are often my favourite (as long as there are no wonky lines!) and as soon as I saw it, I knew what I wanted to create.
The challenge this week is a sketch challenge:
Stampin’ Up! Text Ya Later
If you can drag your teen away from their phone long enough to look at the card, then hopefully this might just make them LOL!
WHAT DID I DO?
First up I stamped a Basic Grey card base with little emoji symbols from the set using Basic Black ink. For a little extra fun! Then I stamped the screen onto white card. The speech bubbles and sentiments are also stamped onto white, with Pool Party & Lemon Line Twist to distinguish the two sides of the conversation. Those are added using Stampin’ Dimensionals for extra height.
You can just get 5 lines of conversation on the screen if you squeeze them up! Hopefully the recipient will find it funny.
You can purchase all the products you need to create this card from my Stampin’ Up! Online Shop. Just click on any of the product images below to head straight for my shop and add them to your basket:
