Welcome to another Stamp Review Crew Blog Hop. This week we are focusing on the new Coffee Cafe stamp set – available from the Stampin’ Up! catalogue. I don’t actually drink coffee (I don’t the smell or taste!), but I still think it is a gorgeous stamp set & suite so it was high up my wish list! However, my card today doesn’t actually involve coffee – take a look:
Stampin’ Up! Coffee Cafe
I chose to pair the Coffee Cafe stamp set with the A Whole Lot of Lovely DSP for this project. The colours are more suited to ice cream than the Coffee Break papers I think. That small pot said Ice Cream to me – as did the cream swirl. And what’s better to give the texture of ice cream than the Stampin’ Up! Embossing Paste?!
Adding just the tiniest of drops of Crushed Curry ink to my paste to gave it a vanilla colour. I then spread it straight through the die from Coffee Cups Framelits itself onto a piece of card. I deliberately roughed up the texture of it. The spoon comes from the Frozen Treats Framelits.
That little strip of Tranquil Tide? That’s die cut using the Straw die!
Having stamped the ‘Happiness Is’ on the outside, I figured I’d better follow it up on the inside! Netflix & Ice Cream seems appropriate – using the Labeler Alphabet of course.
