Can you feel the excitement building? This time of year has to be my absolute favourite – even more than Christmas (and I LOVE Christmas!). I’m going to be sharing every day so join me for my new Stampin’ Up! catalogue countdown!
Onto today’s blog post, and as it’s Thursday, that means Global Design Project challenge! I’ve decided to use new products again from the coming in the new Annual Catalogue. You’ve seen them already, but I hope you’re going to love this mix and match of upcoming goodies!
The challenge this week is a CASE the Designer challenge – Shawn de Oliveira! Here is the challenge:
STAMPIN’ UP! HAPPY BIRTHDAY THINLITS:
And here is what I made! I took the gold die cut and floral elements from Shawn’s card to create my Happy Birthday card. I loved the woodgrain card I made with this die last week, and wanted to challenge myself to come up with birthday cards for all different ages/people with the die. This is the feminine version I came up with.
WHAT DID I DO?
I created a faux watercolour background in shades of blue using the stamps from the Happy Celebrations stamp set. Once I was happy with how it came out, I added the floral background stamp from Wood Words. It’s finished with the Happy Birthday die cut from Gold Foil card.
I’ll be sharing how I created this card with it’s watercolour background in my Facebook Live Craft & Chat tomorrow at 10am GMT, so don’t miss it.
Whilst many of these products are unavailable to purchase just yet, you can check out the retired list along with Happy Celebrations which I use for the background and is still available from the Spring/Summer catalogue. You’ll find plenty of lovely things in my Online Shop:
Once you’ve popped your new Stampin’ Up! goodies into your basket, don’t forget to add the current Host Code to it to earn loads of GREAT REWARDS from me.
JOIN ME FOR CREATE & CHAT!
I’ll be LIVE on the Stamping With Val Facebook Page tomorrow sharing how I made this card, along with my usual fun natter while we create – I hope you’ll join me. Plus I’ll be continuing my new Stampin’ Up! catalogue countdown on their all week!
