Hi! I’m doing a little ‘it’s nearly the weekend’ dance as I type this. I was doing so well this week…..until the kids got sick! Yep, all night Wednesday night, so no sleep for anyone in our house that night. Both off school yesterday and today. Is it just me? Just when I was getting into a bit of routine – BAM – organised chaos!! Does that happen to you?
I was hoping to find time to join in with the Global Design Project this week – it is ‘CASE The Designer’ week, and my lovely friend Krista is the subject. We are working together as part of The Crafty Carrot Co. too, so I’m enjoying getting to know her better.
GLOBAL DESIGN PROJECT
Here is the project of Krista’s to CASE, and here is what I made:
It’s a loose interpretation! I went with the general layout of her card – the square element and band across the base underneath.
I love this stamp set – Lift Me Up from Stampin’ Up! It’s got sentiments for a variety of occasions, including for this fun Valentine’s card. ‘Love’ is the focus of my card class tonight, and this project is one the ladies will making at it – I hope they like it.
HOW I MADE IT:
To make this card, I prepared a Whisper White card base and added a few clouds in Smoky Slate left and right of my square panel.
The Square panel is Smoky Slate too, die cut with the Stitched Shapes Framelits. I added my sentiment to it in black ink.
I’ve then added a Real Red hot air balloon and a cloud to the panel – Red, Grey and White – a classic Valentine’s combination! The red twine is left over from the Autumn/Winter catalogue.
