Hi! I hope you had a wonderful weekend? We had our annual Christmas party on Saturday, where we invite many friends and neighbours to celebrate with us. I love this occasion, as many of our friends are at work during the week, and busy with their families on the weekends, as are we. So this is one of the few times we all get to meet & catch up!
My kids are now home from school for the holidays. Most of our gifts & cards have already been dispatched to family all over the country. So, I can actually wind down a little now and enjoy my own little family Christmas. This year we’ll be joined by my Brother and his family, and this year will be the first his little boy has any idea of Christmas, so it will be really exciting to share that with them.
THANKS FOR ALL THINGS
Once all the gift giving and merriment has died down though, thoughts turn to thanks – thanks for all the food, drink and gifts we’ve been lucky enough to enjoy. Thanks for our families, safe and warm. And so it was this in mind that I shared this Thank You card with my class attendees this month:
CASE’d FROM SHELLI!
I found a version of this card on Shelli Gardner’s blog (co-founder of Stampin’ Up!). In here version, she had stamped a white ink pad on Crushed Curry card. Well, you should have seen the mess when I tried it! My white ink pad is fairly juicy and I ended up with ink so thick in places in took 3 days to dry! So I switched to stamping Crushed Curry ink on White card instead – perfect!
The rest of the card is fairly simple, with stamps used from several sets including Jar of Love, Labeler Alphabet & Touches of Texture.
Let me know all the things you’ll be thankful for this season,
Crafty Hugs, Val. XX
