Hi! Just popping in quickly today with a sneak peek video of my most recent pre-order from the Stampin’ Up! Spring/Summer catalogue! It’s so exciting to get these products early and play with them – especially over Christmas time, when I’ll have a little free time for
I thought you might like to see some of the goodies I got in my box. I didn’t get everything, not by a long way – and I find if I get too much at once, I get serious overload, and my mojo hides in a corner, overwhelmed by all the stuff! Does that happens to you too?
CHECK OUT MY STASH!
Unless you are a demonstrator, you will need to wait until 4th January to get your hands on this stuff. However, if you would like to get your hands on some of this stuff now, you could consider joining Stampin’ Up! yourself. You can choose anything from the new Spring/Summer catalogue to go in your starter kit RIGHT NOW!
DEMONSTRATOR? STARTER KIT? SCARY TERMS!
I admit, some of the phrases used can seem frightening. Demonstrator – but I don’t want to demonstrate stuff! Starter Kit – but what if I don’t want to start a business? Firstly, don’t worry. These are just phrases, and don’t tie you in to doing anything you don’t want.
STARTER KIT? BUT I DON’T WANT TO START A BUSINESS!
The term ‘Starter Kit’ does seem to imply you have to start something, doesn’t it? Obviously, Stampin’ Up! is a business and they want to recruit sales people to their team – hence the term. However, they are also such a generous company, that they offer the ‘starter kit’ to anyone who wants it – business or not!
So, if I call it a ‘Bargain Box’, now are you interested? Because that’s what it is! You can choose £130 worth of product and pay just £99 for it! Plus, it is delivered free of P&P charges too.
ON TOP OF ALL THAT, if you choose never to purchase a single other item from Stampin’ Up! ever again, they’ll let you. Nothing else to pay, nothing owed, ever!
DEMONSTRATOR? I COULDN’T STAND UP IN FRONT OF PEOPLE AND SELL STUFF!
But what about that word ‘Demonstrator’? It’s the word Stampin’ Up! uses to describe anyone who purchases the starter kit. But it is just a word, that’s all. Many ‘demonstrators’, just purchase items for themselves. The things they love, at a discount! They don’t demonstrate, they don’t hold parties, workshops or classes, they just order the products they love, when they want, at a discount! That’s it, if you want.
It can be more than that, of course, if you want it to be, but the point is YOU DON’T HAVE TO, IF YOU DON’T WANT TO. Neither Stampin’ Up! (nor I) will pressure you to do anything you don’t want to do – ever! That’s a promise! And when you’ve finished buying all the stuff you love at a discount, you can just stop being a ‘demonstrator’ at any time. With no penalties, nothing extra to pay – nada!
One question I get time and again is ‘Will I have to fill in a tax return?’. Simple answer, if you only ever buy for yourself and never sell, then NO, no tax return.
BUT I ENJOY GETTING MY HOST REWARDS WHEN I BUY LOTS!
Guess what, I get Host Rewards when I buy lots too! Even when I’m pre-ordering new products! And I still get my discount too! YES, YOU DID READ THAT RIGHT! If I place an order of £150 or more of product, I get my discount, and a minimum of 10% of my order in Host Rewards too! The same as you, but I get discount too!
BUT COULD I START A BUSINESS?
Of course! But only if you want to, when you want to, for as long as you want to. As I said, neither Stampin’ Up! nor I will ever push you to do anything you’re not comfortable with. If, however, after a while, you decide that maybe you could do a little something more – GREAT! And I will help and encourage you as much as you want.
WHAT ABOUT YOU?
I started just like this. I signed up because I loved the fact that the card and ink matched! And I wanted a Stampin’ Scrub! That was all – I wanted the ‘Bargain Box’! After a while, I decided that I could maybe sell a few items to the crafty people I knew, and so I gave out a few catalogues. Then I thought I could do a workshop, or two. Then classes, then a blog! But it grew slowly, over time, as I became more comfortable with each aspect. Now I run a small, but successful business – fitting it in to my life/schedule as suits me.
