Well, not very scary or spooky to be honest, but I loved the words too much not to use them! I went to Tesco today looking for Halloween treats for the girls friends and the neighbours kids. I just ran out of time to make anything. But all the stuff in the shops is either very naff or very expensive – and sometimes both! So, I plumped for a couple of big boxes of Hereos, and at least Paul and I can eat the leftovers (can’t so that with Haribo – not personally anyway). Anyway, my Halloween projects have been left hideously until the last minute and as such I really haven’t had the time to make the best use of this fabulous stamp set from WaltzingMouse. I love the big round sentiment stamp though with the cauldron mounted in the middle and the words stamped on top – Look:
I’ve made 16 of these in total, with help from my DH, who kindly filled all the bags with sweets for me while I punched out all the cauldrons. I’ve not been very imaginative with it, I admit, but this week has run away from me. Why is it that holiday weeks always go so much faster than ordinary ones????? I’m also starting to have a minor panic about all I have to complete before the end of the year! I did manage to get some Xmas shopping done this week – the Early Learning Centre are £180 better off now! I suddenly realised that I only have 3 weekends free now before Christmas as the others are taken up with other things. So while at Tesco, I picked up all the ingredients I need to make my Mincemeat and Christmas Puddings this weekend. I started making my own about 7 or 8 years ago and I have never gone back. In case you’re wondering – I use Delia’s traditional recipes for both – they are delicious! We’re off to the Zoo tomorrow with the girls and then Christmas baking all weekend. Don’t forget to check back on Sunday though, my new Christmas Card Class – Glam It Up! goes up for sale that day.
